Event & Festival Security.

Problem

The security industry often has a misplaced perception of an industry run by ‘old school doormen’, it is seen as an industry that is a forced upon service rather than one that is appreciated by clients and end users. But how can we overcome this macho ethos within the industry and make security appear more friendly and appealing to the public eye? Armasec want to change this and be seen as security with personality not just a face in a hiviz.

Solution

We want to build and create a social media presence that represents a more diverse, approachable and friendly organisation. Gathering and delivering content to build an image of a reliable and trusted team of individuals. Providing security to some of the UK’s biggest festivals, we want to show clients they can leave their security in trusted hands so they can focus on delivering an extraordinary experience to their audience.

Branding

We wanted to keep the Armasec branding simple but effective, while also embedding the use of the pride flag. Armasec are Bristol, Cardiff & Weston Super Mares security firm for their Pride events. So it was important to create branding that shows the firms support throughout the year on Pride events. It was essential the logos were simple and easy read so they would stand out when stitched onto uniforms and wrapped on vehicles.

Icons

I was tasked to design some friendly vibrant iconography for the Armasec website which will work well with the user experience and goals of the site. We wanted to make sure the icons were easy to read and identify while also sticking to the Armasec brand identity. Below are some examples of the icons I was able to design, using simple but effective designs which are also being used across their social media platforms.

Content Creation

I’ve had the opportunity to join Armasec on their festival/events, joining staff on the grounds to gather content for the firms social platforms. Creating bright friendly content which shows staff being involved with the experience and enjoying themselves. The overall goal for Armasec on social media is to gain a presence which attracts not only more clients but also staff. Showing the experience at the festivals and how Armasec interact with the environment, truly represents the idea of Armasec being “Security with personality”. Please check out the Armasec instagram to see what we have been up too.

Armasec Website

Please check out the Armasec website by clicking the mockup below. We have built this website on the idea of the site being easily accessible for users wanting to book security or apply for work. The site has been designed to show that security have personality and have a love for festivals and events.

My Experience

Having been the marketing manager with Armasec over the past year I have learnt what it’s like to work within a professional team who care about real problems in the festival and events industry. Using my UI/UX & Marketing knowledge I have been tasked to manage their social platforms and design their website.

I have been lucky enough to join Armasec at some of Bristol & the South Wests biggest festivals/events such as Shindig, Bristol & Cardiff Pride. Gathering friendly content of staff to show the experience the people have while working on a festival site.

My Journey.
