Hey! I'm Jack, How're you today?

I love everything and anything digital! When I’m not designing you’ll find me gaming, in the gym, planning my next adventure or on an event site gathering content.

With a degree in Interaction Design, I am passionate about delivering web design, user experiences, social media, content strategies & graphics.

By understanding user behaviour with technology. I can help turn complex problems into creative solutions that have a positive impact on people and businesses.

Marketing Manager May 2021 – Present

Throughout the past year I’ve been able to attend festivals and events in Bristol and the South West such as Bristol Pride, Shindig, Pride Cymru, Weston Beach Race, Bigfoot, Adventure Bike Rider & St Nicks Night Market. Gathering friendly, welcoming content of staff which promotes a more diverse and approachable security firm. The overall aim has been “how can we make security attractive and come away from the macho ethos within the security industry”, we want to create content that attracts more festivals and events. I have been managing Armasec’s social platforms, helping build and maintain their website and designing other content such as icons, banners, recruitment posts, branding & advertising. Recently undertaking admin tasks such as festival sign ups and master staffing lists to get ready for the crazy summer. My journey with Armasec has made me realise my passion for the marketing industry and how much I enjoy building and promoting brands. Having a huge interest in festivals and events I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience, interacting with staff and clients, I feel I have the creative skills to work within team of creatives who believe in building brands with excellent UX & Marketing strategies. Please check out the Armasec website and socials to see what I’ve been up too.

Social Media Marketing January 2022 – March 2022

I’ve been asked to manage all of The Volley’s social media platforms to promote their beers/food and events so they have more of a social media presence. Using friendly user generated content as well as our own to represent the uniqueness of the pub on King St. I’ve had the opportunity to reply to customer messages and bookings, respond to Google reviews, create and push content, design posters, interact with supplier and customer posts & have weekly meetings with the director and management team to go over the content plan and any updates. My experience with The Volley has allowed me to gain marketing skills not only for social media, but for creating a structure that works well with the management team.

UX Designer October 2019 – January 2020

I was lucky enough to be chosen for the IPOLE (integrated Project Oriented Learning Environment) Project in Switzerland. We were asked to collaborate in teams of 4 with other international students, we all had backgrounds from interaction design, computer science and geography.
The brief; In iPOLE 2019, project tasks are defined in collaboration with the regional development office (Standortförderung) of Canton Aargau; and are in the context of an upcoming interactive platform called Work Life Aargau. More specifically, we will explore how to profile employers, and how to make the opportunities in the region more visible using qualitative and quantitative interactive story-telling tools. IPOLE taught me how to collaborate well within a team of different skills and how we can use our skills to build a usable, valuable experience.

UI / UX Designer April 2019 – July 2019

Oxford Diabetic Heart (Live Brief)

We had the opportunity to work on a live brief the university organised. We were given a brief to work alongside a client from Oxford who was looking to design and prototype a Type 2 Diabetic mobile experience ready for build. As a group of 3 we liaised with the client over frequent video calls for feedback and updates. Using our UI/UX skills we were able to gather existing research from the client which we used to build the mobile experience around.

Interaction Design (BA) – 2:1 September 2017- June 2020

My 3 years at university has encouraged me to continue my journey as a designer, who enjoys being part of a team that thrive in promoting and building brands and creating user experiences that make a difference. Here’s a little bit about the course: The Interaction Design course at Northumbria equips students with the skills to design for the next digital innovation. From smartphones, and laptops to VR environments and smartwatches, students learn and apply UI and UX design approaches to a wide range of digital environments. Learning through project-based briefs with international corporations, graduates from this course have a national and international reputation for producing innovative and highly creative designers who make meaningful contributions within the international design and business arena.
